Progress?

I think not.  Not this weekend anyway.  I have knitted exactly zero stitches since friday night.  That’s over 48 hours, that may be the longest I’ve gone without knitting since I first began almost 3 years ago.  My knitaversary is December 21st.

I was super busy this weekend.  Friday afternoon I was setting up for the engagement party.  I got to knit for a little bit on Friday night before bed.  But I was up and running at 8 am on Saturday.  And I didn’t really stop until last night around 6.  Bret and I were so tired that we just laid on the couch and blankly stared at the TV.

The party was a success though!  Family and friends all gathered together in a lantern and firepit lit backyard for a dinner of Red Hot and Blue ribs and BBQ.  MMMM… I love baby back ribs with a passion.  When family left, we got down to some partying.  I have a couple of battle scars.  A mysterious bruise on my hand, a little cut on my leg.  I know I stumbled down some stairs and hit my butt.  Perhaps not the most graceful evening for the bride to be.   Apparently everyone thought it was a spectacular party with great food, flowing beverages and even some dancing.  And for the guys?  A bunch of group Halo 3 videogaming.

Well, there was progress in one area.  I have already written the thank you notes.  And that, in itself, is HUGE.  It’s not that I mind writing them, it’s just making time to do it.  Since I was so tired, and really didn’t want to get off the couch, the time was there.

I’ll have to upload some pics later so you can see how pretty it was.
