BSJ: Stitch and Button DetailOriginally uploaded by brandy.wolfeWell… I had frogged the real official “first” BSJ I worked on. It was the wonky yarns fault. But I had leftovers from my Phyllo Pullover (thanks Norah Gaughan) and I snagged a gorgeous complimentary green for stripeys from the LYS. And Boy oh Boy!
It’s exquisite. My “Aha!” moment was almost teary. My excitement was unmatched my Bret (surprise surprise). But my love of the finished product has been shared by all!
In fact: Bret’s mom has confiscated her future grandbaby’s first sweater so she can look at it and pet it, and maybe carry pretend babies around in it.
The deets:
Pattern: Baby Surprise Jacket
Source: Opinionated Knitter
Author: E. Zimmerman
Yarn: Classic Elite Wool Bam Boo 2.5 balls
Needles: Size 6 Circs
Started: Aug 20, 2007
Finished: Aug 24, 2007
It started out as a destashing project (even though I bought more yarn for the stripe) but technically I’m still down a ball and a half of yarn. That’s progress I tell ya!I may do a light green hat with dark green stripes to match it. And If I still have leftovers… booties!the chances that all 3 items will fit the baby at the same time? Slim to none… but It’ll look good in pre-baby photoshoots.
